How To Measure

The first step in locating cushions that will fit your patio furniture is to take proper measurements. You can measure your existing cushions or the patio furniture itself.

Once you have taken measurements, you should be able to easily find the replacement cushions that you need. Below is a sample cushion that demonstrates the different measurements that you will need to take note of.

How To Measure

Measuring Patio Furniture

The following are instructions on how to gather measurements from your patio furniture for your new patio cushions. A good tip is to try to imagine a new patio cushion sitting on the furniture. This helps to know how high and far you would like the cushions to come to the edges.

Back Measurement

Measure from the preferred top edge of the patio furniture down to the seat.

Seat Measurement

Measure from where the fold of the cushion would be out to the preferred front edge of the patio furniture.

Width Measurement

Measure the inner edges of the patio furniture that your new patio cushion sit between.

Important tips to remember

*Old cushions tend to spread out over time and may throw your measurements off.
*Remember not to smash the cushion down while measuring.
*Measure edge to edge - not seam to seam
*When measuring your outdoor furniture, try to image the cushion in place if no cushion is available.
*The back and seat measurements are very important as this will tell you where the break in the cushion will be.
